Mary's also known for her role in the reality TV show Storage Wars Texas. Mary Padian, who is often referred to as The Junkyard Queen or Junkyard Queen or The Junkster is well-known for her extensive antique collection that is sourced from auctions, storage units and estate sales. After earning a photojournalism degree she began her career in the famous Architectural Digest magazine under its founder Paige Rense and eventually went on to begin her own section titled Mary Finds'. The magazine featured videos of decorating and refinishing homes. Mary then opened her own firm in Texas using the brand name she had used for her previous firm, with a focus on restoration of furniture and antiques. A&E Television producer spotted her operating an antiques store and offered her the chance to appear on Texas Storage Wars. The show lasted for three seasons.
